The coffee hasn’t even been served yet, but Bollywood’s gossip machine is already wide awake!
A familiar couch, Karan Johar with a microphone, and celebrities who may or may not be ready for some very personal questions – yes, the wait for the next season is already getting interesting. Koffee With Karan Season 9 is expected to return around Diwali, and the chatter around its possible guest combinations is giving fans plenty to speculate about.
The latest buzz has an especially interesting twist. Alia Bhatt is reportedly set to return with her sister Shaheen Bhatt, marking Shaheen’s first appearance on the popular celebrity chat show. According to Pinkvilla, the sisters are expected to discuss their bond, childhood and different professional journeys.
And that’s just one reported pairing.
An unverified guest list circulating online has mentioned everyone from Bollywood veterans and young stars to celebrity couples and digital personalities. So, while the makers are yet to officially announce the complete lineup, the rumour mill is already having its own Koffee break.
Here are seven celebrity pairings that could make the couch particularly interesting.
Why Koffee With Karan Is Already Creating So Much Buzz
For years, the show has been more than a regular celebrity interview. Its rapid-fire rounds, candid conversations, playful questions and unexpected revelations have often turned individual episodes into social-media talking points.
That is a big reason why Karan Johar can put two celebrities on one couch and instantly make viewers curious about what they might say.
The ninth season of Koffee With Karan is also arriving with plenty of variety in the reported guest buzz. There are rumours of Bollywood reunions, new-generation stars, celebrity couples and unusual combinations. Reports have also suggested that the format could see some changes, including shorter segments, although the exact Season 9 format has not been fully detailed.
In other words, the coffee is brewing – and fans are already trying to guess who will spill the tea.

Alia Bhatt & Shaheen Bhatt – The Sister Duo Everyone Wants to Know More About
This is easily one of the most intriguing reported combinations of the Koffee With Karan new season.
Alia Bhatt is no stranger to the couch, but bringing Shaheen Bhatt into the conversation changes everything. Pinkvilla reports that Shaheen is expected to make her debut on the show alongside her younger sister. The episode is reportedly expected to explore their childhood, bond and different professional journeys.
What makes this pairing so appealing is simple: siblings know things about each other that friends and co-stars simply don’t.
The sisters also share a professional connection as producers, giving the conversation another layer beyond family stories.
So, will we get childhood anecdotes? Sisterly teasing? Behind-the-scenes stories?
We may have to wait for the episode, but one thing is certain -Shaheen sitting beside Alia could make for a very different kind of Koffee conversation.
-
Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Farhan Akhtar & Akshaye Khanna – A Dil Chahta Hai Reunion?
Now, this is where nostalgia walks straight into the room.
An unverified guest list has suggested that Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Farhan Akhtar and Akshaye Khanna could share the couch. The reported idea is linked to the 25th anniversary of Dil Chahta Hai, which makes the possible reunion even more exciting for longtime Bollywood fans.
Think about it: four names connected with a film that became a defining part of a generation, sitting together years later.
A conversation about making the film, friendship, Bollywood then versus now and memories from the set could easily become a nostalgia-filled episode.
Of course, this remains unconfirmed.
But if it happens?
The internet may need a little extra coffee.
-
Vijay Deverakonda & Rashmika Mandanna – The Pairing That Could Get Everyone Talking
The reported possibility of Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna appearing together on Koffee With Karan Season 9 brings another dimension to the season.
Both stars have built huge audiences across Indian cinema, and their reported inclusion would add a strong South Indian cinema presence to the lineup.
The appeal would not only be about their films. Viewers would also be curious to see how they handle the show’s rapid-fire questions, career conversations and Karan’s famously direct interviewing style.
The pair remains part of the unverified guest-list buzz, so nothing should be treated as officially confirmed yet.
Still, if the cameras do roll, expect social media to have plenty to say.
-
Ahaan Panday & Aneet Padda – The New Generation Takes the Couch
The Koffee couch has always had room for Bollywood’s next generation, and Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda could represent that fresh wave.
Their names have appeared on the tentative guest list, following the buzz around their work in Saiyaara.
A conversation with the younger stars could move away from old-school Bollywood stories and focus on what it means to enter the industry in the age of social media, instant fame and constant online attention.
And then comes the rapid-fire round.
Because nothing says “welcome to the Koffee couch” quite like being asked a question you weren’t expecting.
-
Akshay Kumar & Ajay Devgn – Two 90s Stars, One Couch
Two established Bollywood stars. Decades of experience. Very different personalities.
Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn are among the names linked to the tentative Koffee With Karan Season 9 list, and their reported pairing could bring plenty of humour and industry stories.
Both actors have worked across comedy, action and drama, while also sharing a long association with Hindi cinema.
Their conversation could offer everything from old industry memories to stories about working together.
And then there is the obvious question: what happens when Karan puts two seasoned stars through rapid-fire?
We won’t pick a winner.
But we would definitely watch.
-
Sidharth Malhotra & Kiara Advani – A Celebrity Couple on the Koffee Couch
Celebrity couples have always created a different kind of curiosity on the show, and Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani are among the names reportedly linked to the upcoming lineup.
If the appearance materialises, viewers could get a more relaxed look at the pair beyond promotional interviews.
Their careers, life in the spotlight and experiences of navigating Bollywood as a couple could all make for an interesting conversation.
Of course, personal details should be discussed only when the celebrities themselves choose to share them.
That is where the format gets interesting: sometimes the most memorable moments are not the questions themselves, but the answers nobody saw coming.
-
Samay Raina & Farah Khan – The Wild Card Pairing
Every season of Koffee With Karan needs a pairing that makes viewers stop and say, “Wait, seriously?”
Samay Raina and Farah Khan could be that combination.
The comedian and digital creator’s humour, combined with Farah’s decades of Bollywood experience, could create an entirely different energy on the couch. The reported pairing is part of the unverified list circulating online.
Imagine Bollywood stories meeting sharp comedy and spontaneous banter.
If this episode happens, Karan may have to work harder than usual to keep the conversation on track.
What About the Rest of the Rumoured Guest List?
The buzz doesn’t end with these seven combinations.
Other names reported in the tentative list include Vicky Kaushal and Diljit Dosanjh, Kajol, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Jaya Bachchan, Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon, Ananya Panday and Shanaya Kapoor, and Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya.
However, there is an important catch: this is not an officially confirmed guest list.
The list reportedly originated on Reddit, and multiple reports have noted that the makers have not confirmed these pairings.
So, for now, consider these names part of the Koffee chatter – not a final episode guide.
What Makes Season 9 So Interesting?
The biggest attraction is the variety.
A sibling episode could bring personal stories. A possible Dil Chahta Hai reunion could serve nostalgia. Young actors could bring a fresh perspective, while established stars could revisit decades of Bollywood memories.
And then there are the wild-card combinations that could create the kind of unexpected moments fans love.
That variety is also what makes Koffee With Karan Season 9 worth watching out for.
Karan Johar has built the show around conversations that can shift from fun to personal in a matter of seconds.
With the reported lineup ranging across generations and industries, the new season already has plenty of potential talking points.
The Coffee Is Brewing, But the Gossip Has Already Started
At this stage, not every rumoured pairing should be taken as confirmed. But that hasn’t stopped fans from guessing, discussing and imagining what could happen when the celebrities finally take their seats.
From the reported Alia-Shaheen sister act to possible Bollywood reunions and unexpected combinations, the ninth season already has enough buzz to keep entertainment lovers watching the headlines.
And perhaps that is the real magic of Koffee With Karan Season 9.
The episodes haven’t even arrived yet, but the conversation has already begun.
So, get the coffee ready.
Because when Karan Johar presses that rapid-fire button, someone is bound to spill the tea.
